Real Alternative to Liposuction

We all know these problem spots that no amount of weight loss and muscle toning makes a dent in. Body fat tends to accumulate in certain areas, such as around the abdomen and waist, sometimes creating unsightly bulges on an otherwise trim physique. Despite rigorous exercise programs and a healthy diet, many people are unable to completely rid themselves of these stubborn fat deposits. Combatting body fat becomes increasingly difficult as we age – you may remember how easy it was to burn fat in your younger years and wonder why it is so difficult now.

Fortunately, undergoing a treatment with CoolSculpting may provide the perfect solution. This FDA-approved technology makes it possible to get rid of all those fat buildup spots in a safe, non-invasive procedure that will help you achieve the body you have always wanted. The procedure is non-surgical – instead of cutting, sucking, or removing fat as in traditional methods, the CoolSculpting device freezes and kills fat cells inside your body.

With the unique CoolSculpting process, you can now achieve a sculpted physique without undergoing surgery. In the past, patients who wished to further refine and sculpt their bodies would typically undergo liposuction. While this process is able to eliminate deposits of unwanted body fat, the side effects and risks associated with the procedure caused many people to forego this type of body sculpting.

Unlike surgery, there is no risk of damaging surrounding tissue, since fat cells are more vulnerable to cold temperatures than other types of tissue. Your unwanted fat cells will be specifically targeted by a non-invasive applicator, allowing you to continue your normal life with no need for days dedicated to recovery.

How is CoolSculpting Different from EMSculpt NEO?

In addition to CoolSculpting, EMSculpt NEO® is a revolutionary approach to non-invasive body sculpting. These techniques have differences in how they work and the results they can deliver. We can work with you to determine what the best approach will be for your goals.

EMSculpt NEO is a procedure that combines two therapies to eliminate fat and build muscle simultaneously to provide dramatic body definition to targeted areas. Using heat and magnetic energy, the non-surgical procedure is highly effective at helping people achieve permanent fat loss while building muscle at the same rate as high-intensity workout sessions.

CoolScultping’s technology uses cold temperatures instead of the radiofrequency energy used in EMSculpt NEO to eliminate fat. It can’t build muscle like EMSculpt NEO can, but CoolScultping does an excellent job of removing very stubborn fat layers by as much as 25 percent. With CoolSculpting, visible results can be seen in as little as 2 to 3 weeks, with continuous improvement over months as the body sheds fat cells destroyed during the session. These permanent results don’t require follow-up treatments, while with EMSculpt, best results are only achieved with regular treatments and follow-up.

If you have a significant amount of fat to lose, CoolSculpting may be the better option than EMSculptNEO. CoolSculpting is also more flexible in its application. You can target more areas for fat removal with CoolSculpting than you can with EMSculpt NEO. Dr. Behroozan works with each patient to design a personalized approach to care so that you can choose the best option for your needs.

Results

If you’re looking for effective, natural CoolSculpting in Los Angeles, the Dermatology Institute of Southern California is the right choice for you. The effects become visible within a month as your body undergoes apoptosis. Apoptosis is a natural everyday process where damaged cells are shed in order to make way for new, healthy cells to develop. CoolSculpting takes advantage of this process by applying temperatures cold enough to damage fat cells, but not cold enough to cause frostbite. Apoptosis in this case rids your body of excess fat without you even noticing. Within a month, flabby areas will begin to firm up as your body discards the dead fat cells and your skin pulls in. If you’re looking for effective, natural CoolSculpting in Los Angeles, the Dermatology Institute of Southern California is the right choice for you.

Is CoolSculpting safe?

CoolSculpting has been fully approved by the FDA since 2010 and is a completely non-invasive procedure, meaning it is a much safer alternative to liposuction. It has been covered on national TV and magazines and although more than 100,000 people have undergone it, no life-threatening complication has occurred. Dr. Daniel Behroozan, who performs all CoolSculpting procedures, will make sure prior to treatment that you are a good candidate and that you can safely undergo the treatment. Thanks to his extensive experience performing CoolSculpting in Los Angeles, Dr. Behroozan is able to ensure the highest levels of safety for his patients.

How Much Fat Can Be Removed?

CoolSculpting is an excellent option for people with normal body weight who suffer from specific areas of fat that need to be flattened. It is not an alternative to aggressive surgical procedures that cover large body areas.. Unlike liposuction, there is no need for inserting tubes into the flesh and sucking out fat. With CoolSculpting, absolutely no incisions are involved. Dr. Behroozan chose to specialize in this technology since it is cost-effective and less time-consuming for the patient in comparison with traditional liposuction. You will remain fully awake during the procedure and can use the time to read, listen to music or entertain yourself. In addition, because it is non-invasive, CoolSculpting poses none of the known risks of liposuction, such as infection, embolism, fluid drainage, and anesthesia-related complications.

How many treatments will I need to get results?

It is up to you and Dr. Behroozan to determine how many are needed. Because CoolSculpting relies on the body’s natural processes to work, the results are very gradual, so it can take a few months to see the final results and to determine whether you might need more treatments. Our patients normally see results after just one CoolSculpting procedure. During your consultation, Dr. Behroozan will recommend a treatment plan that will best match your aesthetic goals.

Can CoolSculpting replace physical activity and balanced nutrition?

CoolSculpting should only be a supplement to the body you achieve by maintaining a healthy diet and a moderate to high exercise regimen. Don’t expect it to reduce more than 1-2 sizes in your pants – it is not the solution for people who want to lose a lot of weight.

CoolSculpting vs. Liposuction

Fat is one of the hardest tissues to rid from the body. While essential for protecting vital organs from shock damage and playing a vital role in insulation, excess fat in certain areas of the body is typically considered aesthetically unappealing. There are several cosmetic procedures available that are able to remove or treat body fat. The most well known procedure for fat removal is liposuction, a surgical aspiratory operation that involves the siphoning of fatty tissues from below the skin surface.

Liposuction is a decades-old procedure that is performed under sedation or general anesthesia. A thin tube, known as a cannula, is inserted through incision sites and manually guided through fatty tissue. The cannula is powered by a vacuum pump, which acts to literally pull fat cells out of the body. Some risks associated with liposuction are infection, hemorrhaging, and nerve damage. Liposuction must be performed conservatively, as the removal of too much fat can have significant adverse effects on the body. Liposuction is not a cure for obesity, and should not used to treat obesity. Proper diet and exercise are necessary to keep fat removed by liposuction from recurring in the same location.

coolsculpting difference

CoolSculpting is a form of cryotherapy developed by Zeltiq that targets fat cells for destruction using intense cold temperatures. Because fat cells are more sensitive to the cold than other body tissues, exposing the skin to this cold will damage only the fat cells, prompting the body to remove them. The most common areas that patients choose to treat with CoolSculpting are the belly, arms, and thighs. The treatment generally lasts between one and two hours ― patients are free to read, sleep, or do work during this time.

CoolSculpting is a gradual treatment, meaning that results will not be as immediately apparent as they would be with liposuction. The body requires several months to clear out the damaged fat cells, and proper diet and exercise must be maintained to urge the process along and keep the fat from returning. CoolSculpting, however, has proven to be highly effective in areas that exercise simply can’t reach, such as the love handles. CoolSculpting is the perfect complement to help you define your ideal shape, and fat freezing in Los Angeles has never been easier. Side effects are minimal and generally include minor redness or a numbing sensation.

Liposuction may be an effective option for patients who desire immediate results or require a larger amount of fat to be removed. For patients who prefer a gradual transformation with very natural-looking results, and want to avoid large periods of downtime from surgery, CoolSculpting is the way to go. During your consultation, you will discuss your specific goals and expectations, and devise a plan of action. The Dermatology Institute of Southern California has already helped countless patients reach their cosmetic goals, and can help you too.

Financing your Fat Freezing Treatment

CoolSculpting is one of the most exciting, non-invasive fat reduction treatments available on the market today. Since cosmetic treatments are rarely covered by health insurance policies, you may be wondering how to pay for the treatment. If you’ve already determined that fat freezing is right for you, you’re probably eager to undergo a CoolSculpting session right away. In this case, you may wish to consider financing your procedure. In order to help his patients undergo CoolSculpting as soon as possible and achieve the body they deserve, our Doctor has arranged a special finance plan specifically for his patients through CareCredit.

CareCredit is a division of GE Consumer Finance that provides short term financing for health and beauty expenses. CareCredit provides approved customers with a personal credit card designed to cover the expenses related to cosmetic treatment expenses. With CareCredit, there is no need to postpone your treatment – you’ll be able to undergo CoolSculpting immediately. This separate credit card will be issued in your name, so it will not affect the credit limit of your family credit cards, keeping your lines of credit open for normal expenses and emergencies. You’ll benefit from the great terms arranged in the special agreement that our office has made with CareCredit. Thanks to financing with CareCredit, there is no need to delay your fat freezing treatment for a day longer!
